ORBIT VALVES
Orbit valves are generally ball valves, Orbit valve technology provides valves with high durability and long performance and safety and long sealing. The most important advantage of Orbit valves is that there is no metal to metal contact, so these valves are suitable for opening and closing in frequent cycles. This Non-Contact Rising Shaft Ball Valve (RSBV), Orbit Valves, is designed to avoid the problems of trunnion (fixed) mounted, floating ball and other conventional valve types under the following extreme conditions: Orbit valves have one direction of flow
HIGH / LOW TEMPERATURE AND TEMPERATURE FLUCTUATION HIGH PRESSURE / HIGH DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE SOLID PARTICLE MEDIA (ESD) EMERGENCY SHUTDOWN / QUICK STROKE
Its high performance in extreme conditions is guaranteed by the following features:
The Single-Sit design is not adversely affected by thermal expansion. Metal sealing for metals: No weak parts (such as springs) are needed to achieve perfect sealing. Sealing is achieved mechanically – independent of line pressure. Frictionless opening and closing: The Rising Shaft Ball Valve sealing mechanism is based solely on axial movement compared to standard Ball, Gate, Plug and Butterfly valves with sealing mechanisms based on shear force, friction and tearing. The Rising Shaft Ball Valve sealing is not liable for friction or tearing as there is no contact between the ball and seat during the rotation of the ball. This frictionless quarter-turn mechanically energized seal with no friction means no wear on the seal and, compared to other types of valves, means an exceptionally long life up to zero leakage over the entire lifetime. Self-cleaning sealing surfaces due to high-speed flow during opening and closing. Powerful and controlled opening and closing with only Linear Body Motion resulting in “1 inch in 1 second”. The self-locking operating mechanism in all Control Seal valves prevents the closing element from rotating due to sequential forces. As a result, there is no danger of hammer impact or shock, in-line maintenance service: Top access for regeneration of the stem packing is possible when the valve is in line and the valve is covered by the back seat. Top Top Entry design for easy maintenance and the possibility to replace all internal parts including the seat while the valve is in line.
