PARALLEL GATE VALVE
Parallel Slide Gate Valves are double shaft and double gate valves or single shaft and double gate valves.
Parallel gate valves are ideal for high temperature and pressure lines to prevent thermal conduction.
Features and Benefits
Parallel gate construction is applicable for high differential pressure applications or where thermal expansion may cause a gate valve to stick.
The parallel slide assembly includes two interchangeable spring-loaded disks, a fully supported (guided) disk holder and retaining pins.
The springs are inserted between the disks only to provide the initial sealing force and fix the sealing force.
The disks are interchangeable, simplifying maintenance and eliminating the need for special fitting of sites to the disks.
Positioning eliminates stress and potential bonding due to thermal expansion in the shaft.
Once the disks are in place, no extra torque is needed to achieve sealing.
Low bearing (seating) torque to reduce actuator size and cost.
Hardfaced bearing surfaces provide high rotational capacity at very high differential pressures.
Bypass valves are used to reduce the traverse differential pressure across the valve seat.
It reduces the size of the running gear and also provides a convenient means for heating pipelines.
Balancing devices are used to discharge fluid trapped between the seat forces and to provide an outlet path for fluid displaced by the valve body moving to the closing position.
